Finally, at long last, I have unlocked Master Dazh Ranos as a companion in Star Wars: The Old Republic!
When Master Ranos was introduced as a reward from the long-retired Dark vs. Light event in 2016, I was not active enough in playing SWTOR to be able to earn Master Ranos. However, her unique character concept as the only Chiss Jedi NPC in the game had intrigued me since I learned about her, and I had hoped to have the second chance to get her as a companion in my account. Therefore, years later I was thrilled when I learned that Master Ranos can be unlocked with Galactic Seasons Tokens.
As I returned to SWTOR as a subscriber on April 22 for the first time since 2020, farming Galactic Seasons Tokens to unlock Master Ranos has been a top goal of mine. After familiaring myself with how Galactic Seasons work, I eventually managed to farm 6 Galactic Seasons Tokens on July 3. However, the item for unlocking Master Ranos as a companion, Force-Imbued Object, was not in stock during the week. However, with guides I learned that the item will return on July 14. As soon as the game reset for July 14 took place, I immediately logged in to the game and purchased a Force-Imbued Object, and thus unlocked Master Ranos as a companion! Through the Collections feature, I unlocked Ranos for my entire SWTOR account as well.
I had waited for around 10 years to have Ranos in my game, and now my 10-year long dream has finally come true!
July 10 marked the first anniversary of me starting to use ASUS TUF Gaming A15 as my current personal computer, and by extension, switching to use Arch Linux!
One of my favourite quality-of-life features Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II — The Sith Lords introduced that did not exist in its predecessor is marking empty containers, which saves time in re-opening a container after you loot the contents just to see if you have already looted the container. Therefore, ever since I played KotOR 2 for the first time, I have been wanting a mod for the first KotOR game do include such a quality-of-life feature. Unfortunately, since the container labelling is hard-coded into the games, so such a mod cannot be created by the standard KotOR modding tools we currently have. This is why such a mod had not existed for years... until now.
Finally, now in June 2026, ShaeMyName developed and released K1 Marked Empty Containers, which involves patching the game's executable directly. Recently, the KotOR modding scene has made huge leaps in developing game executable patches to make changes the games' hardcoded features.
Needless to say, K1 Marked Empty Containers makes a no-brainer addition to my personal KotOR 1 mod build.
Finally decided to turn off comment sections on all my videos on YouTube, instead of continuing my previous comment policy of approving every comment before publishing. Enough is enough, I do not get paid to moderate comments on YouTube.
The last straw was a comment on one of my videos about Juhani from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic awaiting for my approval that bragged about having killed Juhani so not knowing she is a companion. Character hate comments like this, along with bigoted comments, were why comments on my videos needed my approval before being published.
However, allowing others to leave comments on my videos means I still need to spent my precious time in approving comments. Not to mention, I only share video game footage with no commentary on my channel primarily for reference and archival purposes, which are not things that really need comments.
Furthermore, I am sick and tired of getting comments that ask questions that were already answered in my video description.

Recently I bought Star Wars: The Old Republic's Master the Fight: Cargo Transport Edition subscription package, which means I have come back to Star Wars: The Old Republic as a subscriber for the first time since 14 February 2020. I am pleased to report that the game runs flawlessly out of the box on my Linux PC.
Finally bought Beastieball and started playing it. I could immediately see why there's a fair amount of overlap between fans of Beastieball and fans of Cassette Beasts (my favourite video game ever): both are refreshing takes on the monster collecting game, and it helps that both game have pronouns options, including they/them, in the character creator.
One of the contributors to the Catppuccin project, my favourite colour scheme for theming software, has created pride flags with the Catppuccin colour scheme!
I rebuilt leilukin.com's Git repository, after realising that old versions and commits of my website, when I was a much less experienced web weaver, ended up ballooning the .git folder and the size of my repo to whopping 75 MB.
I also decided to move the majority of the images of leilukin.com to a dedicated subdomain for hosting files to avoid inflating the size of the website's Git repository.
I spent the final hours of 2025 in setting up Karousel, a script to add scrollable tiling window management to KDE Plasma, as I figured I would appreciate having the best of both worlds of a fully-featured desktop environment and a scrollable tiling window manager.
